The professional-grade teeth whitening gel will be applied to the front of your teeth three or four times for fifteen minute intervals. We can also use impressions of your smile to create custom teeth whitening trays that will apply whitening gel evenly for a beautiful and consistent color.
Will teeth whitening make my teeth sensitive?
Teeth whitening treatments can make the teeth feel a little more sensitive for a few days post-treatment, but any discomfort should fade quickly. Our office uses KöR teeth whitening, which is refrigerated from the time it’s created until it’s used. This keeps the whitening properties fresh and effective and reduces the need for preservative chemicals to be added to the gel, which is what typically causes sensitivity after the treatments. You may also want to consider avoiding very hot and cold foods post-treatment and switching to a toothpaste for sensitive teeth.
How long do the effects of the whitening last?
The effects of professional teeth whitening can last anywhere from six months to two years, but with regular maintenance and touch-ups, the effects can essentially be permanent!
